‘The Last Embrace’ to vie in Bangladesh

Iranian short ‘The Last Embrace’ has been set to go on screen at the 2019 International Children’s Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Directed by Saman Hosseinpour, the 4-minute short will be competing at the 12th edition of the film event.

"A little girl wants to show her drawing to her family, but everybody is busy with their cell phones. She goes to her grandpa who has just passed away a few minutes ago without anybody noticing it," a brief synopsis of 'The Last Embrace' reads.

The film has taken part at a number of global events, including the 11th Porto7-Oporto Int’l Short Film Festival in Portugal.

According to the official website of the event, the International Children’s Film Festival is an annual week-long film festival which showcases full length features, shorts, and experimental films made for children around the world.

The latest edition of the festival which is slated for March 2-8, 2019, will be hosting some 21 other Iranian titles besides ‘The Last Embrace’.
